It’s a beautiful day to be Alive! Alive is a fitness and wellness app by Whitney Simmons. Whitney has shared her fitness journey and workouts for many years and has now designed programming to help women with their journeys. Whitney is passionate about empowering women to shape the best versions of themselves mentally and physically. This app provides customized programs and workouts to push you to your limits, helping you achieve your fitness goals and get in the best shape of your life.

Alive was planned and designed to be as simple as possible and easy to use. Focusing specifically on the workout experience so you have confidence during your workouts. We are excited to continue improving and evolving the app with our Alive community in the process.

Features

Programs
Alive includes 20 different programs to choose from based on your personal goals. When you join a program you are guided through a full schedule of workouts that span over several weeks. This takes any guesswork out and keeps you focused on your goals.

Challenges
Alive strongly believes your mental health is just as important as your physical health and has designed 30-day challenges where those intersect. Each challenge contains daily tasks, mindful mobility, workouts, and journal prompts. These challenges will help you push your limits and uncover new habits to live a healthier day-to-day life.

Daily Workouts
Alive includes over 100 daily workouts that are split up into different categories (HiiT, Abs, Pull, etc) so you can decide what type of workout you want to do.

Journey
The path to a fit, healthy life is a journey, not an overnight process. The journey allows you to keep track of your progress by weight, photos, and a timeline of progress. Alive also has the capability of syncing your active minutes and weight data with Apple Health. Consistency is key so as you continually hit your goals the app will reward you with achievements along the way!


Subscriptions / Alive Premium
Alive is free to download and offers two Premium subscription options, Monthly and Annual. Both options include a 7-day trial. Alive Premium provides full access to the app including all programs and daily workouts.
Subscriptions will be charged to your credit card through your iTunes account. Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You may manage your subscriptions and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to your Account Settings after the purchase. After purchase, refunds will not be provided for any unused portion of the term. You agree to our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions by downloading and subscribing to Alive Premium.

    I was soo excited to switch to Whitney’s training app but unfortunately there are too many cons for me. 1- The app glitches frequently, sometimes the app will quit on its on and I would have to restart the training and add all sets again. 2- The app will also stop my workout on the apple watch so I might end up with 3 20min sessions instead of a full hour. 3- Sometimes it wont save the amount of reps I did if the number is different from the prescribe sets. This absolutely demotivates me from trying to do more reps since “they wont count”. 4- There isn't an option to add warmup sets. This is a big one since my warm ups tend to be 75lbs-155lbs so I want to see them reflected on my overall workout. 5- There isn't a recommended weight paired with sets which makes tracking progressive overload or deload weeks harder. I usually workout based on my training max for each specific movement and having to constantly check my previous weights just puts more work on the user rather than having the app recommend/calculate it for you. Im a huge numbers girly, I track everything and this is not efficient or accurate enough for me to enjoy using it. So sorry, still love you Whit 🫶🏼

    I absolutely love this app, It’s affordable for me, which i appreciate because I don’t want to spend 25$ on an app that has half or less of what Alive app has to offer. I love the syncing of the Apple Watch, it’s very easy to use and a lot quicker to just manage when in between or during sessions. I like the whole set up of the programs, very clear and easy to use, it’s also great that it’s esthetically pleasing to the eye. I do however, wish they would add a way for you to see up close or to be able to click on the image to see a 360 view of the movement, I would also love to see a way for the app to show you the next movement coming up as a preview so you know what equipment can be used and if not available what other options you could grab to substitute. Lastly, i really really wish this app had a nutrition part to it! I would to see it have a way for us to track our macros and us be able to see how much we’re in taking and working on for our personal goals. I just think it would make this app so so worth it, which is why i gave it 4 stars because now i have multiple apps to track other things i wish all came in one app. Overall, this is a very good useful app, I love Whitney and her bubbly personality and i just appreciate this app so much. Thanks Whitt you’ve helped me so much mentally in the Gym 🩷

    I don’t usually write reviews, but I really need to express how much I love this app. I am a 28 year old stay at home mother of a 17month old, and I love that this app completely takes away the thought of working out. I can’t get to the gym as often as I would like because I would need a sitter, but with minimal equipment I can not only work out at home but I also enjoy it! I’ve been fit my whole life so I never had to think much about what to do at the gym, but with this app no “at home work out” research is necessary! I just follow along and even the warm ups, cool downs and breaks are timed for me! I’ve also seen many new workouts through the weeks so it keeps it interesting and away from the monotony that sometimes comes with home workouts. Also, I love the “weekly” format because it motivates me to get in the amount of workouts per week that each schedule calls for. It’s a motivation to not fall behind. Lastly, the journal and journey tracking aspects are so great as well. I feel like I am equipped and empowered to get back into the shape I want without expensive programs or needing a sitter and hating the workouts.
