Rewards are getting boring. Too many hours of game play as a reward. How about adding a few new rewards? With each reward you can just guess what you’ll get. They are usually the same. 8 hours, 2 hours, 2 hours again and again, yadda-yadda-etc. How about changing the stories for the scrolls? When stories remain the same you keep adding up scrolls and they just keep piling up. What about getting the opportunity to trade some scrolls for cherries, treasure map reveal an additional spot, how about more free spins. All things to get a face lift in these areas. Sure would be nice, find exciting again so want to keep playing the game. Right now I’m unhooked on this level.

I have played this game as my #1 go-to game for years—since 2013. I’ve taken breaks here and there, but at any rate. There are some things that have changed about the game, and it’s for the worse. But what prompted my review tonight is that the game will sometimes “deal” a game that has no moves, and after attempting to re-shuffle, if there are still no moves, the game uses up one of your lives and re-deals a new game! This is not fair obviously, since it has nothing to do with the moves you made. This is so annoying, especially when you are on a difficult level and you burn up 2 or 3 lives because the game just “dealt” you a bad mix of charms. I also can’t wrap my head around the story that you are supposed to use scrolls to listen to. I have saved thousands of scrolls and I can’t bring myself to use them, I hate the story. I only use this game to play the game. If I wanted to read a book or watch a story unfold, this would not be it! Total waste of time. I think I need a new game… will update review if things ever change.

Last week I made the mistake of buying a little gold. Thought I was supporting the developers. Prior to this I slowly accumulated gold but I could watch ads (which also supports the developers) if I didn’t want to spend it. Some levels are tough, and it was great to have the option to watch ads for a few extra moves. I don’t remember anything saying that buying gold would remove the option to ever view ads again, but it did. The gold I purchased is used up, so I’m stuck on tough levels indefinitely. I’m not able to make progress or earn rewards. It feels like I’m being punished for supporting the game, or like they figure I’m a sucker who will keep throwing them money. I’m not, so when I finish exhausting my current resources I will probably delete it. It’s an unfortunate end for a cute game I would have easily rated 5 stars a week ago. Bad move. :(
