BugsLove itLove this app!! The creators definitely seem to care about what the users think. It makes running or strength workout and I love both. Especially with how it’s set up to function during the runs, the app will tell you when to slow down/speed up and will tell you what you have coming up (speed/distance wise) and when to start it. I don’t have to pull out my phone at all when doing something like hill sprints to log that I finished a rep or a set distance and I love that! I don’t like having to check my watch or phone every couple of minutes to check my time/distance and I don’t have to with this because it tell me when I’m halfway as well as gives me my pace and lets me know when I’m finishing up! You can make notes in the exercises for lifting and there’s a video and written out instructional video for each exercise. There are “notes from the coach” telling you what to focus on for both lifts and different runs. Love this app

SpendingLevelFamilyDeviceFeature RequestsDifficultNine months ago I had a heart attack and ended up spending the better part of two weeks in the hospital. A couple of months after leaving the hospital, I walked 1/4 mile (400 meters) and was completely exhausted. I took a three-hour nap afterwards to recover. I jokingly referred to that as the start of my “ultramarathon career”. I kept walking, then started running, and in order to better train downloaded the Runna app. It has been life-changing for me. The workouts are at the exact right level of challenging for me and have slowly gotten longer and more intense without overdoing it. I’ve been using it for the past 2.5 months and have increased my “long run” from 4km to 14km, which is more than I could have done BEFORE the heart attack! My muscles are tired but not in agony, my resting heart rate has gone down and my heart rate for similar runs has dropped from 140bpm to around 120bpm. But the best health benefit has been my improved mood and outlook on life. It has been truly transformational. Lastly, I have to give a big shout out to the team at Runna. They are very professional and have been quick to respond to my questions and feedback. They seem like a really great group of people putting out a really great product. I’m thrilled I bought it and have even given two gift subscriptions to my kids who saw my progress and wanted to try it for themselves. Hands down the best app I’ve gotten for my iPhone.

LevelLove itI was definitely skeptical about paying for a running app since I’ve used the Nike running app for about a decade. What I’ve enjoyed about the Nike app are the plans and playlists that complement your runs. However, after I did my 1-week trial with Runna, it didn’t even take the entire week for me to realize that Runna took the training program to another level. I was happy to fork over some cash to gain the full user experience I’ve been looking for since I started running long distances. The running plans are fantastic, the communication of your pace throughout a run is awesome, the videos to explain the reasons for the run or how to do things are so helpful, and the small thing of being able to rearrange my week was the cherry on top. I truly cannot speak enough great things about this app. It’s already helped me get back to running a 10K inside of a month. Love it and thank you Runna!
