I broke it down two stars. Game is fun in the beginning. Ascension materials are hard to come by. Even in the most expensive packages, they only offer a quantity of one material and a bunch of other things you don't necessarily want. Also, how can more iron be required to upgrade a level 5 forge than a level 17 castle? Doesn't make sense. But the most frustrating part is you can summon 10 characters at a time and end up with 7 or 8 three star characters.

I really enjoy the game and I've been playing for about 4 years now. There are two things that really bother me that caused me to give it 3 stars. #1 - They are now selling items that you can't actually obtain just by playing the game. This seems wrong on so many levels when the game is touted as free to play. #2 - The fact that you can only get season one heroes once you have leveled up your training grounds to maximum. Add some incentive and increase the reward for the time and effort invested

The war matching system is broken. It used to be decent but is now exploitable and useless. It allows long time players to field unrealistic teams against newer players due to matching by war score. Old players just have to lose wars to gain a lower score and then their team is able to compete against people who don't have strong teams and a roster full of heroes, They need to include the length of time played in the game as part of the matching algorithm. That would prevent this type of thing.
