When I found this app, I was searching for a spiritual practice that resonated with me. I wasn’t sure how Vedic astrology worked, but I found myself coming back every day(which never happens with me and an app) and when I started applying the practices to my life, I noticed a huge difference. And I believe there was something karmic in the timing because I was diagnosed with cancer this year and this app has helped me to navigate this challenge in my life and I’m determined to begin living my life in accordance to the cycle of the moon and incorporating more of the practices in my life. The 30 day course they came out with recently has been a true eye opener and I highly recommend starting there. Pay the nominal fee to get your natal chart so you can better understand the challenges and your strengths in this life time. Plus you’ll also need it to determine your moon placement at birth. It’s truly eye opening. Women, practice the ecstatic dance practices they have! Phenomenal way to get in touch with your inner child. Thank you Moonly! Keep it up! Your work makes a difference!

I purchased the Lifetime Subscription then separately purchased the Birthchart when I realized the astrology used is VEDIC and not the Western astrology I am very familiar with. I have had the App a few months now and while I still don’t resonate with the Vedic astrology and now mostly ignore the daily astrology stuff I do love all the other features of this App which you can tell is made with a lot of love and hard work. They have A I Dream interpretation, Tarot, Ruins, Daily Affirmations, and More. I wish their App Store information were more detailed because they would not get poor reviews of people expecting Vedic Astrology and complaints about paying extra for the Birth chart. Also, the Subscription section of the App Store is confusing. Maybe feature a link to a tour of the App so people know exactly what to expect. I think this is a great App and hope people will try it out.

Moonly was recommended to me in a comment section of someone who was looking to better their tarot skills, so I decided to try it out. This app looks amazing, but if you wanted to be a free-to-play type user here, I’d recommend sticking to looking up info online or using another app entirely. The app pushes you SO hard to buy the full version, and even more so towards a subscription. At $70 USD for an app though, you have to be REALLY into the lifestyle associated with the content, and an avid app-user to begin with to justify the purchase. Moonly gets two stars from me since it does look appealing aesthetically, is often updated, and maintained well with cool looking content, QoL/bug fixes, and articles to browse and learn from… but the sheer in-your-face marketing and extreme predatory business tactics to get you to make a purchase was a massive turn off for me. I get it, people need to make money, but I could easily look up the information here online or in books without being pestered to buy things at every turn. I would’ve considered a purchase for all the content Moonly has, but not with ethics like that. I’ll continue to support my local library and small creators who could use the patronage instead.
