I’m so glad my wife introduced me to Lisa‘s husband, John, She knew that Lisa was coming to our church in Des Moines, Iowa to Eternity Church and she said to me one morning to check out her husband John, I literally got on there to watch one little episode to see what it was about, 5 1/2 hours later I felt like there was a new awakening and a new fresh start things that opened my eyes to a different perspective and has been absolutely life-changing so now instead of binge watching Netflix we have been on messenger X consistently, so I’m very grateful for your guises podcast and it was awesome to be able to be the host of the fearless event that Lisa did here in Iowa. I originally purchased the Bait of Satan in 2015 if my memory serves me correct. However I wasn’t led to read it until now (2024) and my Lord is it on time. 24 people I wrote a private letter to that offended me in my life that was brought to my attention while reading this book. It opened my eyes to my lack of forgiveness, judgmental thinking, and my need for self awareness. I am grateful to God to say that I #1 never presented those letters. #2 felt horrible after I re read what was in my heart. #3 wrote a letter of apology and completely acknowledged what I could have did better. #4 pray blessings over them that I desire for myself and my family. I would like to say this was an easy task but I would be lying. It did not feel good at all. But the fruit of freedom makes it worth it. I am still exercising my right to choose to forgive and truly be free. As Holy Spirit leads I will continue to follow. Pastor John Thank you for your obedience. Because of you I now know and understand clearly how to forgive and I will share the Gospel of Jesus in a new way. And with the help of God never take the Bait of Offense again. I like to take this time to thank you, It has been a while since I visit you via the X app, by the way the features of the app seems more user friendly, and the images look sharper and more appealing. This morning God put it in my heart to revisit you, and I found a topic I needed to hear, scripture says that"Hope deferred makes the heart sick", I have been waiting for God to fulfilled the vision He gave me 15 years ago, after listening to you, God reminded me that He still developing my character, I realized that God will not entrust me with something my character is not prepare to do, because it can very easily end up in a disaster, so I am grateful that God continues to shape my character into the image of Jesus, I am learning more and more that God's way is way better than my way, and that walking by faith and humbly with Him and remaining grateful are requirements for God to fulfilled the vision in my life, God continues to shape my character, and the closer I get to the promise, the harder the journey becomes, but your words reminded me to not fret, not faint and to not forget His vision for my life. Thank You!
