I spent 40 minutes on a ranked game. I almost beat it, I was on the final wave. I died and that was fine. I clicked to watch an ad to double my rewards. While I was on the ad my finger accidentally touched the ad, sending me to Google Play. I immediately tabbed back to the game but it had reset completely so not only did I lose all the rewards, I lost the ranking benefits of that masterfully played 40 minutes. Pretty disappointing.

This pay-to-win game is fun but frustrating. Progress often feels blocked unless you spend money. I've been stuck at level 190 for weeks due to a lack of items to increase my power. I bought the no-ads upgrade for about $6, which helped—without it, the game would feel unplayable. While enjoyable, it can get very expensive if you want to advance. The biggest disappointment is that it doesn’t work offline, which was my main reason for downloading it to use on flights. Purchased two months ago.

For the time and effort. Lots of replayability thus so far. I did drop a little dosh for no adds; and makes the grind and playing a little more user friendly for $7ish bucks. The amount of things to do is great and energy gain vs consumption is on point, at least for me. A great free to play game for killing time and is well put together too; after the first week or so is when I bought the add removal as it's just a little for what seems great effort into the game.
