The following permissions are required for the app service. For optional permissions, the default functionality of the service is turned on, but not allowed.

- Storage : To upload a drawing to PENUP or download a drawing from PENUP (Android 9 or lower)
- Notifications : To notify about activities related to your drawing, followers, and people you’re following (Android 13 or above)

If your system software version is lower than Android 6.0, please update the software to configure App permissions.
Previously allowed permissions can be reset on Apps menu in device settings after software update.

I have had to change my review for this app. I have been using PenUp for years & loved it. Over the last several months I've had nothing but issues. I sign in to Penup with my Facebook acct. I keep getting kicked out. I have to re-login every time I open the app & then half the time it doesn't work. Tells me to try back later. They keep pushing me to use my Samsung acct, but I will lose all the stuff that I have on my acct that's linked to my Facebook profile. PLEASE FIX THIS PENUP 🙏! 8/19/24

The app is really good, I made a lot of friends with this app. The problem I have with this app is that now I can't see my notifications, and everything takes twice as long to see comments. Even if I see them, they notify me after 30 minutes or so. This recently happened, it's most likely a bug ruining it.

Edit: It's impossible to create anything detailed without a stylus that's capacitive, active, or Bluetooth, as phone screens are capacitive. I'm an Electrical Engineer and I HIGHLY recommend adding a smoothing tool for shaky lines. Another useful feature would be to add selectable shapes and line styes with a "Snap To" feature, as with Visio. Finger drawing, can be enabled in Settings, but it seems as though you can only make very crude drawings without a smoothing feature. Great idea though!
