Welcome on board to the WindHub app!
Built for mariners by mariners, it displays necessary weather and marine info in a neat and simple way. The detailed map will help to plan cruises, races, or nice fishing.
Accurate forecasts and real-time data includes:
• atmospheric pressure map with marked highs and lows
• weather fronts
• wind and gust forecasts
• waves info
• tides and currents
• rain radar and precise nowcast
• live wind information from 30000+ weather stations
Top-notch weather data is provided by professionals - official weather forecasting services: NOAA, Meteo-France, Deutscher Wetterdienst, ECMWF and others. High-resolution forecast for Europe and East Asia is calculated by our team.
And it’s not just the weather - marinas have contact information so you can call or email the harbor master to book a berth or to ask about amenities.
Special treat for sailors and boaters in the US is the option to display nautical charts. It shows water depths, dangers, anchorages, and other features. The provided nautical charts aren’t for navigation purposes.
Using the app is easy. You can change units, wind speed display (animation or wind barbs), and weather data displayed on the map. Activate “Traffic Saver Mode” if you experience low reception signal.
You can rely on Windhub to help you make the right decision.
We are constantly improving the app and adding new features. We’d love to hear your feedback and ideas at [email protected].

Version 5.7.6
InaccurateI’m not to keen on the app. Radar is not accurate and it’s been pouring rain here for the past 20 minutes and the radar screen shows a light rain blob a few miles away and nothing else while other apps are showing all the rain pouring now. What is shown is just blobs. It’s cumbersome to use. I do appreciate the tide and swell data but I can get that from my other 2 apps I use for weather. I’m not sure if this app is for continental US use. I’ll try weather routing, but guesstimate is fine as the charts are definitely not something I’d actually rely on for navigation. Maybe for ocean crossings? I’m trying to make good use of it but it isn’t living up to the hype. I hope it makes a positive difference for others. In response to developer: thank you for the reply. I already use Windy as one of my 2 primary sources. By continental, I mean: within the USA waters. I’m not sure I would rely on routing using those maps to safely avoid underwater hazards or even rocks and islands. So I’m not understanding the emphasis on charts usage. I checked it out against my chartplotter and it did not match up. So, I say it’s better for larger crossings with deep waters where there is much less chance of hitting small islands or rocks. I hope this clarified. Thank you for replying.

Version 5.7.5
DeviceThere is no way to import routes from other apps. The routes you do create are not available on other devices. So if I create something on my iPad I can’t view it on my iPhone. Poor design. I assume that the people that did the software are not actually sailors.

Version 5.1
Hate itSpendingIt requires you to pay $80 to change the forecast model. The default one isn’t accurate in my area making the entire app useless.
