Love it
Just about perfect! After scouring the play store for a good news app, I'm happy to say that BBC News does it the way it should be done! Excellent, straightforward news from vetted, trusted journalists. There's even a Dark Mode! The only thing I'd like to see is a few more categories and perhaps some fun quizzes: like quizzes on well-known programs like Vicar of Dibley, Are You Being Served, Eastenders, Red Dwarf and Doctor Who. Otherwise it's fantastic! Well designed and actually free! Bravo!

BBC's news itself is excellent, balanced in its coverage, and includes interesting stories not seen elsewhere. However, the app is terrible, constantly crashes, and is incredibly slow. It sometimes freezes up for 30-40 seconds before allowing me to scroll further down and continue reading. The only good thing about this app is that it clearly indicates which articles are videos so I can avoid them. I can read faster than a talking head can talk, and I don't want to waste my time on videos.

A great source of information and news, but lately the app has been really buggy. Videos won't play after watching the ads. And it crashes and takes forever to load anything. I'm using the Samsung Galaxy S8+. Please fix this and I will happily give 5 stars. (edit) Not only have they not fixed the problems I mentioned, they have shoved so many ads into the articles now it's near impossible to read. Just another money hungry company. One star, I'd give zero if I could.
