Version 5.0.10
BugsHate itLocationLove itHere to change my review from a 2-star, down to a 1-star. Placed a mobile order via the app and arrived to the location only for them to be closed during posted hours due to lack of staff. Was told by the only employee there I would receive a refund, but never did. I filled out a form on the Jack in the Box website for a refund over a mobile order/app issue yet I had never received a refund let alone a response (which was stated I’d get) after 2 weeks. Had to contact Jack in the Box again via social media in order to even get some sort of response and refund. The location being closed is not an app issue - but the lack of refund or response is. Other popular fast food apps (that one that starts with a Mc) are way better & never have this issue and I’m able to receive my refund immediately when my order isnt picked up. Let’s not mention the fact that you cannot even add sauces to your mobile order like nearly every other fast food app allows. The app is very glitchy and not user friendly. If you really want Jack in the Box, skip the app & order in person.

Version 5.0.6
BugsLocationLog InLove itPayment and BillingUpdatesI have been a very regular customer at JITB for YEARS; I use their app all the time, and they came up with a new version lately. Every time I run the app, I’d be logged out, so I have to log in again every time. Just navigating through the menus would sometimes freeze up on their animating JITB icon. Changing to a different location would require me to enter my credit card number again. There are days when I simply could not make an order, so I’d just give up and eat elsewhere. I have been conditioned now to expect some issue whenever I use their app. They must not have competent technical people because this version feels like a beta, fraught with issues and hiccups. Their older version worked much better than the current one, although the old version had a bad habit of timing out when I tap the Submit button (but the order does still go through). I have given up with JITB support. I have left them messages on their website, but never get a response. They have lost money with me because I’ve gone to other fast food places instead when their app fails me. Frankly, I don’t think they care.

Version 5.0.1
BugsHate itUpdatesBasically, instead of upgrading the app, they killed it. I had the Jack in the Box app and used it a lot before they updated it to version 5.0.0. Then, it quit working entirely, despite that it says it is supposed to work on my phone and with the older version of iOS I use (iOS 13). Version 5.0.1 of the Jack in the Box app says they fixed some bugs, but it sure doesn’t look like it from here. All I get is a blank white screen, and the coupon to nowhere that said it was for free fries in exchange for signing up to receive text messages is no longer there. In my opinion, updating their app that was great before and now no longer works for some of us, or has disappeared other users’ accounts and reward points, equates to a giant “F... YOU!” from Jack in the Box to their loyal customers. Is Jack in the Box trying to put themselves out of business? It is unfortunate, since Jack in the Box is one of the places that has often been most convenient to go to for lunch near my work, but since these utterly useless updates to their app, I will be deleting it and going elsewhere for lunch.
