I wouldn’t recommend this app to everyone. The only issue is that the GPS Tracking is available when there is a sub driver. It should be available at all times. Pick up time is not always accurate along with how far the bus is away from the house. Bus shows up early or late. But as far as the tracking, I recommend for it to show at all times when school is let out and when the bus is on its way to pick up the kid until dropping them off at school no matter what driver it is. Because I think this is what it’s more likely used for. What happens if there is an accident with the bus? What happens if there is delay? What happens if there is one kid that gets dropped off before the other and the parent worries because their kid isn’t home at usual time? Many things can happen. Nowadays may never know what can happen.

Its great for live tracking the bus and drop offs at school and pick up from schools. Thats about it. Wish it would highlight the bus route and point out the pick ups and drop offs location along the route. Also would be great if the bus/route in the app map is color coded like the assigned bus. And would be easier for parents to know which bus is where if they have multiple routes. My son has an alternate pick up location 3 days out of the week, our assigned route is Orange bus for pick up and drop off and the alternate route is Purple bus which we only need for pick up. But because there’s no way to pick and choose what bus for what day of the week and not color coded, its hard to know which bus to look out for since its tracking both bus at the same time. Especially if they’re within the same zone or coming from the same direction. I believe more updates will be made in the near future as there is feedback on improvements and what would be helpful and beneficial for parents.

I love this app, and even though it has its ups and downs, it greatly serves its purpose and I am very appreciative! I would like to make a suggestion though. I would like a way to communicate with bus drivers to let them know, if my child wont be riding that day. I have children in where they are the only ones at a stop. If for example my child wakes up sick, I can’t really let the bus know ahead of time not to come. I would like a button on the Firstview app that says something like “Child wont be riding today”, that gets sent to the bus driver. Last year there was a shortage of bus drivers in my area, and with something like this button, I feel it would have lighten the load on bus drivers.
