FamilyHate itInaccurateLocationNotificationsThis app is the most useless thing I have had to use in a while. It’s faulty, it’s misleading, and basically just a waste of time and space on my phone. I have to re-add my kids multiple times a week because it will just show as if there are none to track. It only adds a message in the app when the bus is nearby but doesn’t alert my phone. If I’m not in the app all morning then I get nothing. The pick up times are wrong. I have two kids that the pick up time is close enough that he’s fine (it’s only off by approximately 4-5 mins) but I have a middle schooler that the pickup time is way off. His bus frequently is between 20 & an hour and 20 mins late. Then there is the fact that every other day it tells me that my bus can’t currently be tracked by GPS. What?! How is that even a thing if I am supposed to be using this app? Do better edulog bc this isn’t it.

BugsHate itLove itNotificationsUpdatesThis app has been super helpful. There are occasional bugs and glitches and of course when you come to rely on something that can be really frustrating. That being said the majority of the time the app works great. I just downloaded the most recent update and hope it’s even better. I find the ability to customize the alert radius very helpful. I also like the feature of being able to set alerts of when the bus arrives to school. As a parent of a special needs student this is just an added layer of protection to ensure things are running smoothly. Overall could it be better maybe? It appears they are working on fixing bugs but as a whole this is an extremely important and useful tool.

BugsFamilyFeature RequestsHate itInaccurateLocationLove itNotificationsUpdatesUPDATE: The developers added a feature that allows you to customize the shape of the alert zone which makes the app far more useful. I still see “GPS is currently unavailable for this bus” too often for my liking (not sure if this is because of the app, though), and every now and then the app tells me I don’t have any kids riding the bus, which is objectively wrong (logging out and back in fixes the problem, but it’s still annoying). And I’m standing by my comment that EduLog is a bad name for an app that tracks school buses. Almost every day, I get a message that “GPS for this vehicle is currently unavailable.” So, on paper, this app is a good idea - I’d love to be able to see where the bus is in real time - but in reality it doesn’t work consistently. The circular alert radius feature is stupid, too…I don’t need to know how far away the bus is in miles since it doesn’t take a straight line to the bus stop once it enters the alert radius. It would be way more useful if the app told me how many stops away the bus was. You can change the center of the alert radius by changing the pickup address, which sort of helps, but then the app resets the pickup address every day, so I have to mess around with it to fix it. Oh, also, the name is stupid. It’s a good idea, but very poorly executed.
