BugsCustomer ServiceLove itNotificationsUpdatesI love this app for messaging the parents in my elementary classroom. I can send pictures, videos, and messages and it is very helpful. I also love that there is no character limit on the messages like in some other communication apps. Every year around this time (March), however, there seems to be some sort of glitch with the system. Last year it was that I stopped getting notifications when parents messaged me. This was bad because sometimes the messages needed immediate attention such as having the student ride a bus instead of riding in a car. This year, I have stopped being able to see which parents have seen or read my messages. This just happened a few days ago and all year long before this, it was fine. It started with the new update. This is bad because in times where I know a parent has not seen or read a message, I would like to know so that I can contact them another way. Overall this app is great! The glitches that happen towards the end of a school year, however, may lead me to try some other app next year. Customer support was not able to help me in the past with these issues and sends me a generic message in response to my inquiries.

AdsFamilyLevelLove itNotificationsThey will pester you to subscribe each time you open the app, sometimes multiple times. They will send you email, asking you to subscribe. And in case you missed the first email, they will send you a second, and a third. But they know that you are busy, so they will send you several more. I've been signed up for less than a week, and I must have received almost a dozen emails from them, only about 20% of which were actually useful. The rest were unapologetic ads, or thinly vailed ads for their service disguised as notifications. Oh, and the in app ads are tricky. They don't just let you exit out of them. Nope. You have to scroll through the whole slideshow first, and then when you finally get to the end, they will ask you if you are sure you don't want to buy their over-priced service. And just what is it that they offer you that's so great that they have to make sure you know all about it? Well, for what I can tell, it's so you can have the opportunity to know the moment your child's teacher has read your message. In other words, all the parents with real things to do all day get nothing, and the parents that love to look over their child's teacher's shoulder get instant creeper-level access. In short, if you are a teacher, keep looking for a better app. If you are a parent, I'm sorry. And if you're an entrepreneur, this market is apparently very ripe for disruption; you'll make meelions!

CameraFamilyLove itUpdatesWaitingWhen I was a kid there was nothing close to this . We got sent home with homework, progress reports and a report card. That was “staying up to date”. Today I see photos of what’s going on in my child’s class, I see her teacher and classmates. It is amazing. Best of all I have direct communication with her teacher if anything is wrong or I have questions , she responds in very effective time and manor. My child recently was ill, rather than calling the front office staff I sent a message through this app directly to her teacher to inform her of my child missing school for the day. I was able to contact her the night before rather than have to wait until school is open and calling during regular hours. She immediately responded and I felt relieved to know that I didn’t have to worry about her missing anything and I was able to know what I could do at home with her to keep her up to date with her class. I wish that I had this technology when I was a child , i feel like my parents missed out compared to what I get to see via photos and updates/weekly studies, etc. I love it I can’t say anything negative.
