This has become my go to mobile game. I haven’t played mobile games in a long time but this is so satisfying. Running through hordes of monsters, this game reminds me of Risk of Rain 2. I will say that I have noticed several bugs since the update. Sometimes when I click the ad to gain double rewards, or to only obtain the good reward for the devil mission, the game just blacks out and does not let me continue. This ruins my run and I have to start over. I also wonder why you took away the option to play previous maps/worlds? If i’m not high enough level to beat the current level i’m on, I used to grind previous levels to gain the power required to beat the one i’m on. It seems like this discourages you from doing that, and encourages you to buy in game items/materials to help you win :(

I was thoroughly enjoying this game for quite some time, but the August 9 update has completely ruined that enjoyment. For one, the sizes of UI (User Interface for those unaware) elements have been drastically reduced, making it harder to actually read text and press some buttons. Secondly, for some reason, you can no longer repeat previously-completed levels. So now I have no choice but to throw myself at a level that I’m too weak to complete over and over again because I can’t grind in a previously-completed level. This creates a soft progression wall that can only be overcome by unbelievable item/ability luck or what will likely be weeks of grinding the first few waves of he level you now find yourself stuck in. Or, if you have loose purse strings, you can just pay to win. Which I’m sure is the actual intention of this update, as Voodoo has once again committed the cardinal sin of in-app purchase integration: a “battle pass” system. Lastly, and I don’t know how whoever codes the game messed this up, but the game lags WAY more now. I shouldn’t be having significant frame drops on non-horde rounds, and until this update, I never have. While I’m sure the Battle Pass system is here to stay, I do hope that UI scaling options will be added, the ability to replay previously-completed stages will be returned, and the lag will be fixed. This is genuinely a good game and I don’t want one update to ruin that.

im writing this review since im astonished by the quality of this game. this lowkey sounds like glazing but voodoo actually made a decent game this time. the obvious pros is that this game isnt ad reliant unlike almost every voodoo game and is more geared torwards skill, etc. this game is sort of p2w but the average player can probably do just as good as someone who paid money. the only problem is that if wifi is turned on, ads appear after each wave but this is useless when i bring up my next point. pro #2, this game can be used without wifi which is super convenient when other voodoo game’s straight up disable u being able to play when u have no wifi. pro #3, voodoo just does this type of genre games like vampire survivor/ survivor io right. voodoo puts this type of game into 3d, and the high ground and climbing features add to the strategy to this game since u cant be stupidly overwhelmed by hordes of zombies when u jump off ledges to avoid said zombies. the only con is that their currently arent a lot of features that make this game super unique compared to other games like itself beside the fact it is more f2p
