With Widgy, your home and lock screens becomes YOUR screens. You can make any kind of widget imaginable that perfectly matches the rest of your aesthetics. All the information you need can be easily surfaced through a widget that you designed. You don’t have to clutter your screen with the information you don’t want, it’s just what you want, how you want it.

• It’s simple to make a widget •

You don’t need to be a professional designer, you just need to know what you want. Once you figure that out, it’s a matter of letting your creativity flow. Just add an element, pick a data source, throw on some effects, and put it where you want. Then repeat to add another element. After a while, you’ll have a perfect widget, and all you need to do is to assign it to a widget slot and drop it on your home screen. There it is, marvelous!

The Widgy editor only has two parts. The preview and the layer list. When editing a layer, you get a couple of different sections that let you tweak the appearance and data of that layer. Each section has several special things you can do to the layer. The Preview will always show you a live display of exactly how the widget will look on your home screen, so you don’t have to constantly go back and forth between the editor and home screen.

• Everything you need •

Widgy provides all the different elements that you would ever need to make your widget perfect. Along with that, there are all the data sources you could ever need, everything from system info to weather. And with all these data sources, there are several ways to display the data, whether it’s a text, a nice chart, or something else.

• There’s no limits •

This isn’t an app full of templates, everything is 100% customizable and interchangeable. It’s your widget, and you choose how to make it. The only limit is your imagination.

• Sharing and discovering is easy •

You can privately share widgets with your friends or publicly with all Widgy users, all with a couple of taps. You can share your widget as a URL, QR Code, JSON data, a file, or you can publish it to be shown in the Explore section for all the Widgy users to see.

Other than the Explore section, Reddit (r/Widgy) and Discord communities have produced thousands of Widgy widgets so far. So if you just want to browse widgets or if you need some inspiration you can get that too!

NOTE: Widgy optionally integrates with Apple Health. This integration is used to display your data if you select one of those widget types. Permission for Widgy to access this data is controlled through the Apple Health app.

As with Health, all other permissions for Widgy are optional and are there just to show you the data you want to be displayed.

just a little world of encouragement since i see a lot of negativity in the reviews lately due to the broken update. thank you for finding a way to remove the pesky app label, it truly gives setups a better look , PLEASE do not bring it back because of a couple people complaining. the vast majority of us users have been desiring this to happen for a long time. i am also facing the same issues as others regarding transparency , misalignment and frankly widgets not updating, i know a fix is around the corner so for now i’ll sit tight. i know how much work goes into writing these apps but the average user just likes to complain for every little thing and are very impatient. people act like they poured their life savings into this app lol keep up the good work

First, for those who say this is too hard to use, I totally disagree. I found it very intuitive and simplistic to build widgets. Other apps mentioned in reviews are not totally customizable. I really like this app because it’s possible to create a widget for anything and everything. There is no other app that compares to this level of customization and building. When I first started building apps I had some trouble finding urls for the apps which I wanted to build widgets. Eventually I figured out the way to get them! iOS 17 didn’t blank or black out widgets , however the update is causing the “Widgy” iOS app to open and remain open every time a widget is used. The IOS APP is blacked out afterwards. I’m okay with that until the issue can be debugged. I would recommend that those with blank widgets, reload all widgets or delete them from the Home Screen, or Lock Screen and then add them back. I feel like this will fix the issue. So grateful to those who have submitted their widgets for Download. Some of them are amazing- there are obviously some very talented people out there. I would recommend purchasing the full version even though their is an IOS 17 bug. It is still far beyond any other app out there.

    Version 2.2

I really enjoy this app. I've tried out several custom widget makers and this one seemed the most extensive and user friendly. The free version allows you to place one lock and one home (I was able to use transparent background). And for a lot of people that may be enough, remember you can create more than one and switch them out. But I decided to buy the unlocked versions so I could place multiple lock screen widgets. I love that there's no subscription fee, just one time purchase. There's definitely a learning curve, the flexibility requires a lot of features. But it's worth the time and effort if you want a really custom widget. But the pre-made ones are great too if you don't want to take the time to create your own. My only issue is that with a tap action, the widget opens Widgy first, then the app stored as the tap action. If your tap action is a Shortcut, then it opens Widgy, opens Shortcuts, then opens the app. So Very Frustrating! Although I'm guessing it's an Apple restrictions rather than a Widgy programming error similar to Shortcuts. It would be nice if there was an option to remove any touch action from a widget, including opening Widgy.
