I don’t like that they gave the driver my personal phone number. He started texting me telling me that he wasn’t getting paid enough to bring the food to my address and he wanted extra money if he was going to complete the delivery. He kept saying that the app sent him to, some random address that was not my address even though my address was on the actual order. I spoke to a nice woman overseas, who was having trouble entering my order number correctly even though I had her repeat the numbers after I said them, she kept inverting numbers. It took about 5 minutes of careful repetition of the numbers for her to find my order. And then she didn’t seem to understand what was happening. She said that the driver was just one minute away with my order and we should wait for him to arrive. And I told her I can send you the text messages he’s been texting me trying to get more money in order to deliver the pizza. Anyway, ultimately, she said that I would be getting a refund. And the order was canceled. She seemed unsure of herself that I’m concerned that the refund might not happen. But we shall see in 2 to 3 business days.

This was my first and last time ordering through this Chow Now. For one the $8 delivery fee is ridiculous. Second there's no way to track your order and I had to call the restaurant to see if my order had even been picked up due to it being 30 mins and no one had picked up my order so it was still at the restaurant. Trying to get in touch with support is slow and difficult. I called, started a chat, and text. Through Chat and texting I was finally able to reach someone but it was like 4-6 min wait between each message. I finally get my phone and it's missing some items. The lady i had through chat was trying to help me get it refunded but we ended up getting disconnected. I don't even know if I've even got my partial refund for my missing items. I'd rather just go back to doordash. At least through them I can track my order and if there's any problems it's resolved instantly. And then to make it so bad an UBER DRIVER DELIVERED THE FOOD! You might as well just skip the middle man (chownow) and go with more stable food delivery services.

I placed an order with a restaurant which I often ordered from other platforms with no issues. The order was placed and confirmed at 6:44 pm! At 7:40 I called the restaurant and the manager himself checked the system and told me that they dont have any order from the Chownow on the system. Called their customer service and they simply said the restaurant didn't accept! The representative worked on it and got back to me confirming the order will be delivered in 30 minutes (~8:10). At 8:22 the restaurant called saying the food has been ready for 15 minutes but nobody came for pickup! I again called the customer service and they said the delivery person is on his way. Will pickup by 8:30 and deliver at 8:50. At 9:05 still waiting for my food and it says delivery at 9:20!! They didn't bothered to give a proper explanation or compensate! The food will come after sitting for an hour ready and inedible! $100 order went to waste. NEVER AGAIN
