As a host on Clockout in DC, I’ve had an incredible experience bringing people together and making real connections in the city. Hosting through the app has been seamless—whether it’s casual happy hours or more structured events, I’ve met some amazing people from all different industries who I wouldn’t have connected with otherwise. Clockout makes it so easy to set up events and get the right crowd. The people who join are genuinely looking to network and make friends, not just collect business cards. It’s been a game-changer for building a solid community in DC, especially in a city where it can be hard to meet new people outside of work. Highly recommend for anyone looking to expand their social and professional circle!

On the 7-day free trial and currently not planning on subscribing for the $100/year because I’m more frustrated than impressed. It’s hard to stay motivated and get past the dozens of steps to set up an account, despite being really curious about its potential. It required so much data input to just see what the app even looks and feels like (sync contacts, invite three friends, turn on notifications and location tracking, etc) which already annoyed me because I didn’t even know if it was worth all that work yet. Spent first few days trying to change my profile info with no luck, then focused on browsing lots of really vague and unresponsive profiles that I’m not even sure are real people. If any of my connections did work out, I have not had access to messages the whole time due to a consistent error message that keeps popping up, so I don’t even know how to connect with them. Have my first event tomorrow and will make the call after that on if this is worth any more time than I’ve already given it.

The app's user-friendly interface makes it super easy to use, and the variety of options is provides makes it stand out from the crowd. The details and ratings it provides for each meet and event are incredibly helpful in ensuring that my time is well-spent. As a young professional, finding like-minded individuals can be so difficult, especially in this post-COVID time period but Clockout has made it possible for me to build real connections. The diverse range of in-person events and engaging content keeps me motivated to step out of my comfort zone. Kudos to Clockout for filling a crucial gap in social connection for young professionals!
