On 9/1/24 I went to Chipotle to use a reward for "buy chips and get 125 extra points". I ordered on the app but when I tried to pay it wouldn't put my payment thru. It said they were having difficulty processing payments. I tried several times. I said just forget it and cancelled the order. I had about 2,660 reward points, now I only have about 1,039. The app did not return my points when I cancelled the order. I am very disappointed in Chipotle's app.

I love being able to order through the app, but I've noticed that it won't allow me to apply any of my free reward items to my order, even when I am meeting the special terms or requirements to redeem the reward. It's a bit of a pain, but the restaurant/ Chipotlane workers have been kind enough to honor/ scan the reward once I pull around and walk inside. The app developers truly need to fix this issue.

Poorly designed. It won't add points unless you tell the employee you want to scan it and wait for them to go to a specific screen. If you do it at the wrong time or they don't know what they're doing, you won't get points, your coupons won't apply, and you'll be overcharged. If you need help, it's an AI that just ends if you don't have your burrito receipts filed away, and it doesn't log digital copies of them. Also if you order ahead on the app, they give smaller portions than in person.
