App overhaul did nothing to resolve existing issues that prevent the app from being usable at a basic level. There's a third party app that allows flawless interaction with your dash cam. Why can a single person develop an app that functions so much better than this one? Edit: it's been over 7 years since this review and it's still relevant. They've failed to resolve fundamental issues with the app. Now I must disable my VPN to connect? Weird how the third party app can connect with the VPN on.

These companies just can't stop with the cloud connectivity! If you try to access your camera with a weak or no cell signal it just sits there trying to check for new firmware!!! I paid almost $800 for this system I should be able to access the files ASAP with the app not after it's done trying to phone home to the manufacturer

Cameras are awesome. Work great and great quality. Installation wasn't to bad. But the app.....the app is horrible. Extremely slow. Navigating it is a bit tricky(when it works). Currently it is locked on a screen showing "loading" and won't allow any other action. Customer service is also really pushy and a bit rude, but they know what they're talking about. Would recomend the product all day. Might have better luck on a computer than the app.
